Burgers are a huge hit at our place – the kids would have burgers every night if they could! These patties have a delicious Mexcellent twist (and some extra hidden veges), perfect served with Man Rub home fries and some Man Rub Mayo to dip it in – I’d be happy to have this every night…..
Mexcellent Peat Patties
700g beef mince
small carrot, finely grated
small onion, finely diced (I like to grate it!)
1/2 green capsicum, finely diced (optional)
1 egg, lightly beaten
1T (heaped) Pepper & Me Mexcellent paste
Combine well, and form into patties. Pan fry on a low-medium heat until evenly browned and cooked through.
We love to use Tip Top’s Brioche burger buns, loaded with smashed avo, Man Rub mayo, cheese, beetroot, lettuce, tomatoes – the works!
Man Rub Home Fries
Potatoes (approx 1 per person)
Pepper & Me Man Rub
Dice potatoes into large chunks. Microwave on high to par-cook (allow about a minute per potato). Set aside to cool. Toss through about a half-half mixture of butter and oil to coat all pieces of potato evenly. Sprinkle Mar Rub evenly over the potatoes. Pan fry in a single layer until potatoes are cooked through and crispy on all sides.

When I don’t have any of Katie in the Kitchen’s Vegan Aioli on hand, I cheat and add about 1t (heaped) Pepper & Me Man Rub to approx 1c Mayo (we love Best Foods) plus a little squeeze of lemon juice or apple cider vinegar to thin it out a bit.
